ASFA Retirement Standard

The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) is the superannuation industry’s peak body for research and advocacy. They’ve developed the ASFA Retirement Standard that can be used as a guide for how much money a person might need to have a modest or comfortable retirement. Their super detective tool helps you work out what your super balance should be now, to achieve a comfortable retirement.

Moneysmart

Government website Moneysmart, has a range of retirement planning resources and  calculators which can be used to help you estimate your income in retirement. Their retirement planner helps you estimate what your super balance and annual retirement income could be, and how long it might last.

ATO

The Australian Tax Office (ATO) has resources to help you understand what to consider with your super, when planning for retirement.

Centrelink

The Centrelink website can help you understand if and how much of the Age Pension you are eligible to receive, as well as well as guide you through the steps on how to claim.
