Suzie Brown – General Manager, Insignia Partnerships

Suzie joined Acenda in October 2020 as General Manager, Master Trusts & Corporate Partnerships. she now leads the relationship management team at Acenda, supporting existing partners in achieving their insurance goals and desired member outcomes.

With over 25 years of experience in financial services, Suzie has held senior roles in sales and relationship management across corporate superannuation, group, and retail insurance. For the past 16 years, she has specialised in the group insurance market, where her proactive and strategic relationship management ensures that fund partners’ insurance arrangements meet the evolving needs of their members.

Lee Sammartino - General Manager, Superannuation Partnerships

Lee Sammartino leads Acenda’s Superannuation Partnerships with a strong focus and passion on delivering strategic value and long-term outcomes for superannuation funds and members. With nearly 30 years of experience across the financial services industry, including superannuation, Lee is deeply committed to supporting funds in achieving their purpose—delivering better retirement outcomes for members.

Lee has held senior leadership positions at ME Bank, LUCRF Super (now AustralianSuper), legalSuper, and Cbus.  Most recently, he served as Head of New Business and Acquisition at Hostplus, where he led growth initiatives and forged new relationships across the superannuation ecosystem. Prior to that, Lee spent three years at Rice Warner (now Deloitte) as a Principal, advising on corporate growth and strategic partnerships.

At Acenda, Lee works closely with fund executives, boards, and operational teams to co-design solutions that enhance member outcomes, improve operational efficiency, and support long-term sustainability. His leadership is grounded in transparency, trust, integrity, and shared purpose, principles that reflect Acenda’s commitment to the superannuation community.

Peter Smith – Head of Business Development

Peter is a highly experienced executive who has held senior roles at Munich Re, MetLife and Resolution Life. Peter is responsible for business development including ensuring successful onboarding.

Helen Andrews - Head of Transition

Helen leads the Group Insurance Transition function at Acenda, accountable for the successful transition and onboarding of new and existing Group partners.

Helen is a senior leader with over 25 years experience leading large scale business transformations across the financial services industry including banking, superannuation and life insurance sectors. Most recently Helen headed up the Group Insurance delivery and technology portfolio at AIA Australia, leading strategic initiatives including Onboardings, Successor Fund Transfers, and Transitions as well as managing the Group Insurance Technology applications Prior to this, Helen has spent time in senior delivery roles at NAB, ANZ and Superpartners.

Helen is a results driven leader with a proven track record in leading high performing teams and is passionate about delivering a member first experience using cutting edge and innovative digital solutions.

Alison Bodinnar – Head of Product & Proposition

As the Head of the Group Product & Proposition team at Acenda, Alison drives innovative solutions tailored to the evolving needs of superannuation fund members.

Alison has over 25 years of experience in the life insurance industry and her expertise spans both local and international markets, providing her with a unique perspective that enhances her strategic vision. She is also a passionate advocate for design innovation, leading the disability design initiative to ensure comprehensive support for all members.
